Jockey Manuel Franco and Sunny Ridge pressed the pace set by Vorticity and those two went at it around the far turn and down the stretch with Sunny Ridge getting the win by 3/4 lengths at the line. Adventist got the show, a length further back, and Flexibility finished a neck back in fourth. The first four finishers received points on the Derby Leaderboard on a scale of 10-4-2-1.
