Description: Stellar Wind (VA) CH , F, foaled February 13, 2012 (Curlin - Evening Star, by Malibu Moon) runs off 3 in a row with her decisive victory in the 8.5 furlong $400K Grade I Santa Anita Oaks at Santa Anita Park April 4, 2015. Jockey Victor Espinoza settled Stellar Wind into stride towards the rear of the field and traveled wide around the Clubhouse turn. Glory and Luminance set the pace up the backstretch and Stellar Wind advanced steadily. As they rounded the far turn Luminance took command, however, Stellar Wind was gaining quickly along the outside. At the top of the lane Stellar Wind took control and went on to win by 5 1/4 lengths over Luminance. It was 3 lengths further back to Wild At Heart in 3rd. Stellar Wind picks up 100 Kentucky Oaks points and sits in the 3rd spot on the Kentucky Oaks Leaderboard behind Condo Commando and I'm A Chatterbox. The 141st running of the Kentucky Oaks is May 1, 2015 at Churchill Downs. Stellar Wind raced for Barbara Houck when she began her career and after her MSW win December 18, 2014 at Laurel Part she was sold and brought west to race for Hronis Racing.
