Description: Runhappy (KY) B , C, foaled March 4, 2012 (Super Saver - Bella Jolie, by Broken Vow) runs happy to win the 7 furlong $300K Grade I Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita Park December 26, 2015. Jockey Gary Stevens and Runhappy went to the front and never looked back as Runhappy notched his sixth win a row. Runhappy was last seen winning the 6 furlong $1.5 million Grade I Breeders' Cup Sprint in track record fashion at Keeneland October 31st with Edgar Prado aboard. Before the Breeders' Cup Runhappy ran off with the 6 furlong Phoenix Stakes at Keeneland (Prado) October 2nd and the 7 furlong Grade III King's Bishop at Saratoga August 29th (Prado). Prior to those stakes victories he ran off two AOC events, July 31st at Ellis Park going 6 1/2 and going 6 furlongs at Indiana Grand July 7th, both with Erin Walker aboard. Maria Borell was the trainer of all of Runhappy's victories except the Malibu and his MSW win December 28, 2014 when he was being trained by current trainer Laura Wohlers. Runhappy is 7-0-0 from 8 starts and he has earned $1,481,300 for his owner James McIngvale. He was bred by Wayne, Gray, & Bryan Lyster. Runhappy's lone loss was when he was knocked around at the break in the one mile & 70 yards Grade III Le Comte Stakes at Fair Grounds January 17 earlier this year (S Bridgmohan, L Wohlers).
