As they approached the far turn Little Mike went on by Teaks North as the plodders started to make up some ground. Magician was gobbling up ground around the turn and was able to swing outside for the stretch run. Little Mike was joined by Vagabond Shoes and The Fugue as the field straightened for home. Little Mike and Vagabond Shoes could not keep up as The Fugue hit the front nearing the furlong marker and Magician was coming late to wrest command nearing the line to win by 1/2 lengths. It was 3/4 lengths further back to Indy Point in 3rd.
