Description: Lovely Maria (KY) B , F, foaled April 23, 2012 (Majesticperfection - Thundercup, by Thunder Gulch) gets her second Grade I victory in her young career with a win in the 9 furlong $1 million Kentucky Oaks May 1, 2015 at Churchill Downs. The only jockey to ride Lovely Maria in her 7 previous starts, Kerwin Clark, again had the mount. Lovely Maria broke well and was sent after the front running Condo Commando. Angela Renee went out to pressure the front runner as they started up the back stretch, Shook up wasn't far behind along the inside and Lovely Maria was racing to her outside. As they rounded the far turn Angela Renee took the gas out of Condo Commando and went on to lead as they turned for home. Lovely Maria chased after Angela Renee, reeled her in at the 1/8th pole and went on to score by 2 3/4 lengths over Shook Up.
