Description: Lockout (KY) DK B/, H, foaled May 7, 2009 (Limehouse - Non Sibi, by Wild Deputy) gets his first Graded Stakes victory with a win in the 7 furlong $200K Grade II Connaught Cup over a turf course rated as 'good' at Woodbine Racetrack May 30, 2015. Jockey Gary Boulanger settled Lockout into stride towards the rear of the field as River Seven and Excaper went out to show the way. Phil's Dream was tracking that pair from the rail and Lockout was about 10 lengths off the pace as they traveled up the back stretch. Lockout gained ground along the fence as they rounded the far turn, Phil's Dream came to the outside to run at the leaders and Lockout came off the fence to find clear sailing on the far outside. In deep stretch Excaper and River Seven were still there, however, Phil's Dream was going better than the top two and Lockout was coming best of all to get the win by a length over Phil's Dream. River Seven got the show a head behind Phil's Dream. Lockout was making his first start as a 7 year old. He is 6-7-2 from 23 starts and he has earned $520,537.
