Description: Living The Life (IRE) B , F, foaled May 6, 2010 (Footstepsinthesand (GB) - Colour And Spice (IRE), by Machiavellian) gets her second victory on U.S. soil (All Weather Track) with a win in the 6 1/2 furlong $400K Grade II Presque Isle Downs Masters at Presque Isle Downs September 8, 2014. Living The Life got acclimated with a win at Del Mar in an AOC (no tag) August 7 with jockey Mike Smith aboard. Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella flew his rising star east then had Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith come out to ride in the Masters. Living The Life raced on All Weather tracks in England 19 times with a record of 5-4-2, mostly in Weight For Age or Handicap races. In the Masters, Significant Bling gained the early lead with Ageless and Disco Barbie keeping the pressure on. Mike Smith had a dream trip in the clear in 5th and was able to save ground around the turn. The field bunched up as they came out of the turn and into the stretch, a hole opened up for Living The Life just 3 off the rail. Living The Life went up in there and got the lead nearing the furlong grounds and went on to win by a 1/2 length over Disco Barbie. Disco Barbie got tied up with nowhere to run at the top of the stretch and finally got clear in deep stretch to grab the second spot, one length in front of Ageless in 3rd.
