Jockey Jose Ortiz sent her to the front and she sped away setting swift fractions. There was no catching her today. Two and three year old super star and top weight favorite Kauai Katie did get up for 2nd but was no match for the winner. La Verdad drew off to win by 3 3/4 lengths while My Pal Chrissy was 1 1/4 lengths further back in 3rd. La Verdad may be something special as she is 7-1-0 from 9 starts and she has earned $426,700.
