Description: Karibu Gardens (KY) DK B/, C, foaled May 12, 2010 (Flower Alley - Flower Forest, by Kris S.) climbs out of AOC ranks to win the 1 1/4 miles $200K Grade II Sky Classic Stakes on a firm turf course at Woodbine August 16, 2014. Jockey Luis Contreras sat back in third along the outside as Money Talker was keeping mild pressure on the front runner, Reporting Star. At the top of the lane, Karibu Gardens drew abreast of the leaders and the three of them did battle down the stretch. Karibu Gardens got the lead inside the 1/8th pole and was driving to score by 3/4 lengths over Reporting Star. Money Talker lost the 2nd spot by a nose in a head bob.
