Description: Hootenanny (KY) B , C, foaled March 17, 2012 (Quality Road - More Hennessy, by Hennessy) comes back to North America after trainer Wesley Ward takes him to Ascot and Deauville to win the 1 mile $1 million Grade I Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf on a 'firm' turf course at Santa Anita Park October 31, 2014. Jockey Lanfranco (Flying Frankie) Dettori got Hootenanny to settle into stride behind Luck Of The Kitten and Lawn Ranger tracking that one in second. Luck Of The Kitten was sent by rider Mike Smith and tried to steal the race, but Hootenanny came into the stretch full of run and ran him down in deep stretch to win by 3/4 lengths. Daddy D T traveled wide most of the trip and finished well to get the show, 1 1/2 lengths behind Luck Of The Kitten. Hootenanny has hit the board in all of his 5 starts, 3-1-1 and he has earned $751,985 for those Coolmore Stud partners Derrick Smith, Michael Tabor, and Mrs. John Magnier.
