Description: Honor Code (KY) DK B/, R, foaled March 1, 2011 (A.P. Indy - Serena's Cat, by Storm Cat) gets his second Grade I victory in a row with a come from behind finish in the 9 furlong $1.25 million Whitney stakes at Saratoga August 8, 2015. Jockey Javier Castellano settled Honor Code into his usual place at the rear of the field as Liam's Map went out to set the pace. Moreno tried to keep the pressure on, however, Liam's Map was free wheeling by the time they reached the far turn. Honor Code and Tonalist trailed most of the way, Honor Code along the rail and Tonalist to his outside. Honor Code started to close the gap around the far turn leaving Tonalist to chase after him. At top of the lane Liam's Map had a 5 length lead heading to the furlong marker and Honor Code did not look as if he would catch him. However, Honor Code hit his best stride and nailed Liam's Map at the line to win by a neck. It was 1 1/2 lengths further back to Tonalist in 3rd. Honor Code is 6-2-0 from 9 starts and he has earned $1,978,260. He was bred by Dell Ridge Farm, LLC and is owned in partnership with Lane's End Racing. The Whitney is a Breeders' Cup World Championships Challenge series race and Honor Code gets his entry fees paid for a start in the BC Classic. His connections have some deciding to do as Honor Code also won the 'Win & You're In' Met Mile June 6th at Belmont Park which is a qualifier for the BC Dirt Mile.
