Jockey Victor Espinoza and Gormley raced up along the inside to get the lead as they went into the Clubhouse turn and led from there to post a 3 length victory over Klimt. Klimt got rolling late as he was far back most of the trip and finished 4 1/2 lengths in front of Straight Fire for the place. Gormley is 2-0-0 from 2 starts and he has earned $216,000for his owners Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Moss. He was bred by Castleton Lyons & Kilboy Estate and he is being trained by John Shirreffs. The FrontRunner is a Breeders' Cup World Championships Challenge 'Win & You're In' Series race and Gormley gets his entry frees paid towards a start in the 2016 BC Juvenile November 5th at Santa Anita.
