Description: Deceptive Vision (ON) B , F, foaled February 13, 2010 (A.P. Indy - Eye of the Sphynx, by Smart Strike) got her first Graded victory after knocking on the door in her two previous attempts with a win in the 1 1/8 miles $300K Grade II Canadian Stakes on a 'good' turf course at Woodbine Racetrack September 14, 2014. Jockey Eurico Da Silva let Deceptive Vision settle into stride in the second flight down along the hedge in fifth as they field traveled up the back stretch. La Tia was out front setting the pace and Skylander Girl tried to get through to her inside but had to back out of there and make another run at the leader from the outside as they traveled around the far turn. Deceptive Vision moved up into third, she was able to save ground the entire trip. Skylander Girl gave up the chase and Deceptive Vision came out spinning for home to tackle La Tia. Deceptive Vision got the lead and ran off to win by 2 1/2 lengths. Royal Fury came along to get 2nd, 1 3/4 lengths in front of La Tia who had to settle for 3rd. Deceptive Vision has been in the money in all of her 7 starts; she is 4-2-1 and she has earned $349,165 for her owners/breeders at Sam-Son Farm. She is being trained by Malcolm Pierce.  The Canadian Stakes is a Breeders Cup World Championships 'Win & You're In' Challenge Series race and Deceptive Vision earns a free berth in the Filly & Mare Turf at Santa Anita Park this fall.
