Jockey Luis Saez sent East Hall to press the pace set by Vicar's In Trouble from the start. They were joined by CJ's Awesome as they traveled up the back stretch. Just Call Kenny joined the front runners going into the far turn after traveling very wide into the first turn. East Hall took back briefly while CJ's Awesome and Just Call Kenny vied with Vicar's In Trouble for the lead. Vicar's In Trouble had a 2 length lead as they straightened for home and looked to be going for the win. East Hall hit his best stride nearing the furlong marker and got to Vicar's In Trouble in deep stretch to win by a length. Just Call Kenny was 2 1/4 lengths further back in 3rd.
