Jockey Patrick Husbands let Conquest Harlanate settle into stride in the second flight and came running four wide around the turn to do battle with Isabella Sings down the long stretch at Woodbine. Isabella Sings also made a big move rounding the turn for home to get the lead but Conquest Harlanate started to inch away in deep stretch to win by a neck. It was 2 lengths further back to Skinner Box who closed well for 3rd. Conquest Harlanate is now 2-0-1 in her young career and has earned $173,569 for her owners. The Natalma Stakes is a Breeders' Cup World Championships 'Win & You're In' Challenge Series race and Conquest Harlanate gets her entry fees paid into the Juvenile Fillies Turf this fall at Santa Anita Park. Conquest Typhoon (ON) B , C, foaled March 16, 2012 (Stormy Atlantic - Swanky Bubbles, by Ascot Knight) got his chance a couple of races later in the 1 mile Summer Stakes for 2 year olds on the 'good' turf course. Jockey Patrick Husbands let the speedsters go and went after them as they were rounding the far turn. Samuel Dechamplain offered up little resistance as Conquest Typhoon drew along side in upper stretch and then bounded clear to win by 4 1/2 lengths. Samuel Dechamplain did hold second by a nose over a fast charging U S Marshall. The Summer Stakes is a Breeders' Cup World Championships 'Win & You're In' Challenge Series races and Conquest Typhoon gets a free berth into the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf this fall at Santa Anita Park.
