Description: Birdatthewire (KY) B , F, foaled March 21, 2012 (Summer Bird - My Limit, by Wagon Limit) goes all the way up to the third position on the Kentucky Oaks Points Leaderboard with her come from behind victory in the 7 furlong $200K Grade II Forward Gal Stakes at Gulfstream Park on January 24, 2015. Jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. settled Birdatthewire into stride far off the pace set by Seduire, Enchantress, and Ekati's Phaeton. Birdatthewire made steady progress midway up the backstretch and had to go seven wide for clear sailing at the top of the stretch. By The Moon made a huge move before Birdatthewire got going, six wide out of the turn and into the stretch to take the lead. However, the move may have been premature as she faded down the lane. Birdatthewire flew to the front around the furlong marker and went on to win by 3 1/2 lengths over Lassofthemohicans. Taylor S was just a neck further back for the show. Birdatthewire was making her first start since breaking her MSW November 29, 2014 at Churchill Downs. She is now 2-1-1 from 5 starts and she has earned $158,860 for her owners at Forum Racing LLC.
