Description: Appealing Tale (KY) DK B/, G, foaled April 18, 2010 (Tale of the Cat - Appealing Bride, by Unbridled's Song) gets his first stakes victory in a determined effort in the 7 furlong $250K Grade II Pat O'Brien Stakes at Del Mar August 22, 2015. Jockey Joe Talamo sent Appealing Tale directly to the front out of the chute and up the backstretch. Wild Dude and Indexical pressed the pace in the early going, took back, then came on again as they rounded the far turn. Wild Dude came out of the turn to tackle Appealing Tale and those two battled to the wire with Appealing Tale winning by 1/2 length. Indexical was 3 1/2 lengths further back in 3rd. Appealing Tale is 5-6-6 from 24 starts and he has earned $533,222. He was bred by the Hart Farm, is owned by Gary & Cecil Barber, and he is being trained by Peter Miller.
