Description: Nyquist (KY) B , C, foaled March 10, 2013 (Uncle Mo - Seeking Gabrielle, by Forestry) remains undefeated with a commanding victory in the 8.5 furlong $2 million Grade I Breeders' Cup World Championships Juvenile at Keeneland October 31, 2015. Jockey Mario Gutierrez and Nyquist had to break from post 13 and was 6 wide going into the Clubhouse turn. Riker set the pace with Unbridled Outlaw and Cocked And Loaded giving chase. Nyquist was never far off the pace and steadily advanced up the back stretch. As they raced around the far turn, Unbridled Outlaw gave way as Cocked And Loaded went up to challenge Riker. Nyquist came to join them at the top of the stretch and started to draw clear. Swipe gained ground from the outside around the far turn while Brody's Cause saved ground along the rail. Nyquist got to the line first as Swipe closed within a 1/2 length. Brody's Cause came off the rail in mid stretch to finish well 2 1/4 lengths behind Swipe. Nyquist is 5 for 5; he broke his Maiden at Santa Anita in June, ran off with the Grade II Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar August 8th, the Grade I Del Mar Futurity September 7th, the Grade I FrontRunner at Santa Anita September 26th leading up to his victory in the Juvenile. He has earned $1,613,600 for his owner Paul Reddam at Reddam Racing. Nyquist was bred by Summerhill Farm and is being trained by Doug O'Neill. The Breeders' Cup Juvenile is a Kentucky Derby Prep Season race and the first four finishers receive points on a sliding scale of 20-8-4-2. Drawing by Daily Racing Funnies ®.
