Description: Groupie Doll (KY) CH , M, foaled April 14, 2008 (Bowman's Band - Deputy Doll, by Silver Deputy) and regular rider Rajiv Maragh took down the 7 furlong $1 million Grade I Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint November 2, 2013 at Santa Anita Park for the second straight year. Groupie Doll settled back into 5th down the backstretch but started to make headway as the field entered the far turn. At the head of the stretch Groupie Doll had the lead and held off Judy The Beauty to win by 1/2 length. It was another 1/2 length back to Dance Card in 3rd. Groupie Doll is 11-4-4 from 21 starts and she has earned $2,478,850 for her owners Bradley, Fred F., Bradley, William B., Hurst, Carl and Burns, Brent. She was bred by The Bradleys and she is trained by William Bradley. Groupie Doll went to auction immediately following her Breeders' Cup victory at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock session on November 6, 2013. Mandy Pope went to $3.1 million for Groupie Doll and announced that she will consider entering her in the Grade I Cigar Mile at Aqueduct Racetrack November 30, but did say she bought the mare to be part of her broodmare operation.
